Actor Viggo Mortensen All Set With His New Movie “The Road”

Nov.21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Danish-American actor Viggo Mortensen is creating headlines once again as the actor’s latest movie ‘The Road’ is all set to hit theaters next week. The new movie which is the film adaptation of a much acclaimed Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by American author Cormac McCarthy is scheduled to hit theaters on November 25.
The movie would witness Mortensen play an extremely challenging character where the story is based on a post-apocalyptic scenario. The basic storyline focuses on two central character, a father-son duo which has been played by Viggo Mortensen and 12 year old Kodi Smit-McPhee respectively. The story covers the journey of the father and son across a ravaged landscape on the earth, where civilizations have been completely swiped out due to a cataclysm that befell the earth dwellers. The movie proceeds as they roam about in the burned and ravaged remains of America and move towards the coast without having any idea of what awaits them their.
John Hillcoat, director of the movie has emphasized that as the story is essentially based on a father-son relationship, audiences would get to see an amazing chemistry between Mortensen and the young actor. Although, the two actors have an age difference of around four decades, the director has implied that the genuine affection between the actors comes across vividly on the screen.
At the same time, the movie with its interesting storyline and stunning performances is all set to win the hearts of the audiences and all the fans of Mortensen across the world surely cannot wait to watch the much acclaimed actor’s latest venture.
