Sep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Randy Quaid, who has Golden Globe Award to his credit, has been arrested along with his wife on charges of burglary by the California police. The actor and his wife Evi Quaid (47) have been charged by the police with felony residential burglary and entering a non-commercial building without the consent of the owner. Evi Quiad has also been charged for resisting arrest. As per reports, the bail of the couple was set at 50,000 dollars each.

As per reports, the couple was arrested after the police received a complain from the owner of the house that Randy and Evi Quaid were occupying the residence without any legal permission. It was the representative of the owner who called up the police and mentioned that the squatters were illegally occupying the guest house. He also sufficed his claims by keeping in front of the police legal documents that showed his client had purchased the home back in2007 from a man who was its legal owner after Randy Quiad allegedly sold it to several years ago. Apart from the representative, a contractor showed police the damages made to the guest house allegedly by the occupants. Reports claim that the damages have been valued to be around $5,000.

However, when the police reached the guest house, Randy Quiad and Evi Quiad both maintained in front of the police that they are the legal owners of the house. They held that they owned the property since 1990s. Randy Quaid is the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid. The actor who who Golden Globe Awards for portraying President Lyndon Johnson in “LBJ: The Early Years” was also seen in 2005 film “Brokeback Mountain”.
