LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA (BNO NEWS) — Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi on Tuesday did not show up for the fourth time to a scheduled hearing in a Santa Barbara court as they remain as fugitives, Los Angeles Times reported.

Randy and Evi were scheduled to appear in court for their arraignment of felony vandalism charges after trashing a Montecito home they used to own. The actor and his wife previously fled to Canada.

Santa Barbara Superior Court Judge Donna Geck refused to schedule another hearing for the couple and opted instead to leave their arrest warrants active. Randy and Evi Quaid have already forfeited over $1 million in bail for their missed hearings.

An immigration hearing for the Hollywood actor was set for November 23. The prosecutor’s office has not decided yet whether to seek the Quaids’ extradition. Canadian authorities confiscated the actor’s passport as he is seeking asylum from a group known as the “Hollywood star-whackers.”

Randy and Evi Quaid were accused of vandalizing and causing over $5,000 in damage to the guesthouse of a home they once owned in Montecito. The couple was allegedly squatting in when they were arrested last September.

Randy Quaid’s attorney, Robert Sanger, said that he hoped that the actor and his wife will come in and take care of the situation. He also announced that he is no longer representing Evi Quaid on an accusation that she violated her probation on an earlier charge of defrauding a Santa Barbara hotel.

“This is something that has become much larger than life,” Sanger said. “I think Randy Quaid has been a very significant actor in the course of his career. I would like to see him get back and get this taken care of.”

Randy Quaid is the older brother of actor Dennis Quaid. Along with his wife, they claim that the “Hollywood star-whackers” group are the responsible for the death of Hollywood actors such as Heath Ledger and David Carradine. The Quaids claim that they are the next target. Authorities have ruled out any indication of foul play on the actors’ deaths.
