Actor Michael Douglas To Address CLSA Investors Forum In Hong Kong

micAug 17, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Hollywood superstar Michael Douglas is all set to address an investors forum in a brokerage convention that is scheduled to take place next month in Hong Kong. The renowned actor who gained wide acclaim for edging the character of Gordon Gekko in the 1987 flick “Wall Street” would be speaking to investors in the conference to be held on September 15.

The event, which is being organized by the brokerage firm CLSA, is held every year and it witnesses the presence of chief executives, fund managers as well as a variety of other prominent financial top-notches from all across the globe. According to CLSA, in the conference, the “Basic Instinct” star would be seen talking on a wide range of topics that includes filmmaking, nuclear abolition as well as the deterrence from the proliferation of small arms. While talking about the inclusion of Michael Douglas in the list of speakers who would be gracing the event, CLSA spokesperson Simone Wheeler revealed to the media that the “Fatal Attraction” star is not expected to talk about finance or business in the convention as the main aim of the event is to present new makers to the clients of the brokerage firm.

In the meanwhile, the speech that Michael Douglas is scheduled to deliver at the event on September 15 which take place just a day his upcoming film “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps” would be screened in Asia for the very first time. The yet-to-be released flick witnesses the 65-year-old actor make a comeback to the role of the corrupt financier Gordon Gekko.
