Los Angeles, Sep 6 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Michael Douglas has admitted that he was not a good father to his jailed son, Cameron Douglas.

Michael Douglas who is battling with a stage-4 throat cancer said he regret sacrificing his son’s future with his acting career and admitted that he might have made the same mistake his legendary dad made. Kirk Douglas, 93 years is the father of the 63-year-old Michael Douglas.

He said that, “My career was really just getting started and that was my focus, maybe more than it should have been. I was gone more than I should have been.”

Michael Douglas’s son, Cameron Douglas was jailed for 60 months by a judge for dealing in crystal meth. Michael says he wants to talk to his son about what he can accomplish with his remaining life. Cameron is Michael Douglas’s eldest son.

But Michael maintains that he will not miss the chance to be a better father to his two other children. Michael has two children with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Dylan Jones - 7 years and Carys – 10 years. Michael says he will rather spend time with his kids than on the sets. Michael has signed to shoot a new series “Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps”.

Michael just completed one of the eight weeks of chemotherapy to cure the cancer, which threatens his career.
