Actor Johnny Depp pays a surprise visit to a school in pirate gear

Johnny Depp Actor Johnny Depp dressed as Jack Sparrow to pay a surprise visit to a Greenwich school in South-East London, as part of the Halloween celebrations.

Pirate Johnny surprised the school kids, no end. The actor was in town filming for the fourth Pirate of the Caribbean movie and he came at the Primary School dressed in full character as Captain Jack Sparrow. He said he made his surprise visit after receiving the letter from Greenwich school pupil Beatrice Delap. Beatrice is 9- year old wrote a letter to Captain Jack asking for help, according to the teachers of the school.

After reading the letter Johnny, who was shooting nearby 18th century Old Naval College decided to visit the school. The school was informed just 10 minutes prior to actor’s visit. According to onlookers Greenwich goers were very happy and there were loud cheers when Johnny entered the school premises.

In an interview to London Tonight, Beatrice said she wrote the letter to the actor who was shooting next to her school. She said that in the letter she wrote that, “Captain Jack Sparrow, At Meridian Primary School, we are a bunch of budding young pirates and we were having a bit of trouble mutiny-ing against the teachers, and we’d love if you could come and help. “
