Actor Eric Dane checks into rehab for painkiller addiction
July 20th, 2011 - 11:57 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattLos Angeles, July 20 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Eric Dane has checked into a rehab facility for his pain killer addiction. The news was confirmed by a statement from his represetative.
The statement stated that, “Actor Eric Dane voluntarily checked himself into a treatment facility to help him get off of pain medication that he was prescribed for a sports injury that he suffered over the recent hiatus. He reports back to work next week. Business as usual.”
The Grey’s Anatomy star is also set to become a father for the second time around as his wife Rebecca Gayheart is pregnant with their second child. They already have a 16 months old daughter Billie. The 38 years old Eric Dane has been married to 39 years old Rebecca Gayheart for the last 6 years.
According to sources, Eric Dane felt that a lot was at stake with the upcoming birth of his second child so it was prudent to get treatment for his addictions. According to Star, a source said that, “Eric felt things spiralling out of control and decided he needed to get some help”.
Besides the birth, shooting for the new season of Grey’s Anatomy also started recently and that also sprung Eric Dane into action.
