Nov 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Dyke Van Dyke, who started out on ‘The Dick Van Dyke Show’, has been reportedly rescued by a school of porpoises who pushed him to shore after he drifted too far out into the ocean on his surfboard.

A story from WENN news reports that the star of such movies as ‘Mary Poppins’, and ‘Chitty Chitty Bang Bang’ as well as ‘Diagnosis Murder’ stated he had fallen asleep on his board while surfing at the beach. He claims that when he woke up, he could no longer see the beach, and tried to paddle towards where he thought the shore may be.

Dick Van Dyke went on to explain, “I woke up out of sight of land… and I started paddling with the swells and I started seeing fins swimming around me and I thought, ‘I’m dead!’. They turned out to be porpoises [and] they pushed me all the way to shore. I’m not kidding.”
