chris-klein Los Angeles, Sep 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Actor Chris Klein has owned up to the charge of Driving Under Influence (DUI) and has consequently been sentenced to four years probation and one and half years alcohol education class.

Chris will also serve a mandatory 96 hours behind bars, because he was arrested for the same offense in Feb. 2005. The actor was arrested again on June 16 this year when police spotted the actor zigzagging the road on a Los Angeles highway.

The actor who was visibly sorry for what he did told the judge that he should give him the chance to show the court how seriously he viewed his mistake. The judge also ordered that Chris should install an ignition interlock device in his car. The ignition interlock device is used to switch a car’s engine off when alcohol is detected in the driver’s breath.

His lawyer was all praise for the actor after the trial saying his client took full responsibility immediately for his wrongdoing. He said Chris needed credit for doing what he did in court. Chris had said that, “I apologize for my wrongdoing, and I really appreciate that the court gave me the opportunity to prove how seriously I took all of this.”

The actor who is famous for the movie “The America Pie” has already completed a two months rehab program.
