“Ace Of Cakes” To End Next Year

Nov 21, (THAINDIAN NEWS) 2011 will witness the wrap up season for “Ace of Cakes”, Food Network has confirmed the news on Friday. According to a source, Food Network General Manager Bob Tuschman has revealed that this show has to go off air, a news that has come as a huge disappointment for its ardent followers. The show had premiered for the first time in 2006.
The Food Network officials have decided to take the show off air in the following year. No doubt this has come as a very depressing news for all the food lovers, especially the ones who are just crazy about cakes. The fans of the show will no doubt be missing Chef Duff Goldman dearly who is lnown for taking the recipes of making cakes to the level of a majestic art. He goes to the extent of giving shapes to the cakes with the drill saws and blow torches. To lend some spice to the creamy affair, rock musicians appear in the bakery adding an extra musical charm to the show. At the Charm City Cakes in Baltimore, Chef Duff Goldman and his team of artists are seen to full fill various demands, for which he even goes to the length of making 20 cakes in the same week. The unique factor that the show gets to see is that at times, a long time period of 29 hours is even required to build one single cake.
A source claims that in the next and last season, a large sized Delorean time machine cake will be created for “Back to the Future” 25th anniversary event. Food Network said that it will not be getting detached from Chef Duff Goldman, who has a huge fan following.
