Feb 12, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Renowned British fashion designer Alexander McQueen passed away in his west London home on Thursday. The designer, who is known to have stylized some of the best names of the entertainment world, was 40 at the time of his death.

The news of the untimely demise of the much acclaimed fashion designer has come as a huge shock to the international fashion industry. In a statement that has been released by his representative, it has been revealed that the ace designer was found dead in his home and the cause of his death is being investigated by the authorities. Although authorities are not considering the cause of the death to be suspicious; reports claiming that it was a case of suicide has not been validated as yet. Meanwhile, a police spokesperson has added that a postmortem would be taking place to ascertain the cause of the death.

Samantha Garrett, Alexander McQueen fashion house director has reiterated that the sudden demise of the British designer has left them devastated and shocked. Meanwhile, after the news of Alexander McQueen unfortunate demise spread, tributes poured in from various quarters as people expressed their grief at the tragic death of the celebrated designer, who was set to showcase his latest collection in Paris early next month.

Alexander McQueen had gained international acclaim owing to his unique designs as well as cutting edge fashion shows. The British designer is known to have dressed some of the most prominent names in the fashion world which includes Kate Moss, Sarah Jessica Parker, Naomi Campbell, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, among others.
