London, Feb 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Former Glamour Girls star Abi Titmuss has landed a role on BBC One’s Casualty. The 36-year-old revealed that coming by the role, especially regarding her past, was not easy.

The trained nurse admitted that her past came up against any opportunities that she had to appear in television shows but she persevered until she got the role in the BBC show. She told reporters that, “I knew how third-rate I was…I clawed my way out of the hole I’d dug myself, but I know I wouldn’t be sitting here were it not for all that. It did give me financial security, but it came at a great emotional cost.”

According to her, her life as a glamour girl got her self esteem low. She however believes that her past experience as a nurse will help her in the new television show because her sister will be hospitalized.

Titmuss announced in late 2007 that she is taking time off her career as a glamour girl. She has not appeared on the cover of any magazine. At the height of her career as glamour girl model, Titmuss appeared 38 times on the covers of several men magazines in the United Kingdom in just a year.
