Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Makes An Appearance On Oprah

Sep 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The tone was all set for the “desi” beats on the Oprah Winfrey Show, when the power couple of the Bollywood entertainment industry, Abhishek and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made a joint appearance at the first ever television appearance together. Oprah welcomed the duo on the show, saying, “They stopped production on eight major movies and flew eight thousand miles to be here for their first ever television interview together.”
For the former Miss World, this wasn’t the first appearance at the Oprah. She had once previously made an appearance way back in 2007. This time, the appearance was pepped up further with the company of her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, the son of the iconic Indian star Amitabh Bachchan.
Donning a completely traditional attire of a brown and white saree, Aishwarya looked extremely beautiful. Holding hands, both of the superstars had come out on to the podium of Oprah, amidst thunderous applause. It was mostly Abhishek, who set the mood for a breezy evening, with his witty comebacks and humorous overtones.
From the cute banter that the Bollywood couple exchanged on the set of the immensely popular show, it could very well be made out that they are evidently, very much in love with each other. When he was asked how did it feel to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, Abhishek stated that it was “Pleasant on the eyes.”
The two also took time to explain patiently to the American talk show host, why they still live with Abhishek’s family, even after marriage, stating that doing otherwise is considered sacrilege (in other words, abandoning one’s family) in India.
