The eccentric Abhay Deol has recently added another prestigious feather to his cap.

Abhay Deol, Bollywood’s answer to intelligent cinema is one of 15 people who was featured in “Who Mattered Most in 2009″ a poll by an esteemed website that caters to top 6 cities in Asia.

The list included people from the Indian political and scientific arena as well as sports and the music industry

Reveals a source, “From all the 15 featured on the list, there are just 3 individuals from the film industry and one of them is Abhay. Just 4 years in the industry and he is the epitome of contemporary offbeat cinema. He is an actor for the thinking masses. The face of the alternative cinema.”

Adds the source “Abhay has been invited to endless number of acclaimed film festivals across the globe, he was a speaker for this year’s TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) conference.”

The actor, producer, director -Abhay Deol has created waves with his performances in “Dev D’ and “Oye Lucky, Lucky Oye’.
