wholetruth-1285174679Sep 23, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jerry Bruckheimer’s latest offering promises to be a new kind of legal drama where both the prosecution and the defense will be equally showcased and thus providing the audience with ‘The Whole Truth’. Maura Tierney and Rob Morrow play hot shot attorneys who share great camaraderie as well as compete against each other.

The structure of the show is also unique compared to other legal dramas on American TV presently. With both the case being showcased from both the sides, it gradually converges to the battle in court where the jury makes the final call. ‘The Whole Truth’ also exposes some of the weaknesses in the legal system as it is often a case of better performance by the prosecution and defense in front of the jury.

In the premiere episode of ‘The Whole Truth’, the case of a murder was shown. In the episode the jury found the suspect guilty though the build up of the show indicated that the case could have gone both ways. Finally, however, it was revealed that the suspect was in fact guilty of the crime. For fans of the legal drama genre, the series offers some interesting surprises ahead when the jury finds an innocent person guilty and guilty person innocent. Show creator Tom Donaghy has revealed that he wanted the audience to feel that they have not missed out much by making the series episodic and not continual. The show also has a strong supporting cast that includes Sean Wing and Christine Adams. Critics have given the pilot mixed reviews with some calling it similar to ‘Law and Order’.
