ABC All Set To Launch Jamie Lee Curtis Starer “True Lies”?

jamieSep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Who doesn’t remember the famous action comedy film “True Lies”? The veteran director James Cameron directed the movie which starred Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Arnold, Bill Paxton, Tia Carrere, Charlton Heston, and Art Malik in 1994. The wide acceptance and appreciation of the movie has made the ABC officials order a script for a television adaption of the 1994 film. However, the representatives have not yet confirmed the news to the media.

The sources close to the channel ABC have reported that the “Star Trek” screenwriter Rene Echevarria will be the show-runner and co-executive producer of the upcoming project. The media sources report that the television adaption of “True Lies” will be produced by Lightstorm Entertainment and 20th Century Fox TV. The channel has not yet announced anything about the upcoming project and its is not yet clear who has been signed to play the famous roles of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis. If the whole project runs smooth, then the new project will be Rene Echevarria’s first project after “Dark Angel”. The audience is eagerly waiting for the confirmation of the project to see the televised version of their favorite movie.

“True Lies” is about a top secret agent who does not even share the details of his work with his family. The role of the spy was played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jamie Lee Curtis shined in her role as the wife of the spy. Later in one of the interviews James Cameron said that he wanted to portray Arnold Schwarzenegger as James Bond but it seems that the storyline did not give him much scope to carry on with his experiment.
