ABBA duo linked to Doctor Who spin-off musical show
January 8th, 2010 - 4:32 pm ICT by ANILondon, Jan 8 (ANI): ABBA’s Benny Andersson and Bjorn Ulvaeus had been lined up for a musical version of Doctor Who spin-off show Torchwood, reveals a new book.
In the book, head writer Russell T Davies reveals that he was asked about the concept.
“They have the two chaps from Abba on board,” the BBC quoted him as being told.
Davies said after he had finished laughing he asked for clarification.
“Yep. Bjorn and Benny love Torchwood,” he was informed.
But the idea never progressed beyond the early stages. (ANI)
