March 19, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): Shakthi couldn’t afford for an excellent start as his previous films turned to be a mediocre ones at box office. He made his debut in his father P. Vasu’s direction “Thottal Poo Malarum’ that went unnoticed by many while his second release “Mahesh Saranya Mattrum Palar’ was a box office disaster. Nonetheless, the actor claimed success with his third film “Ninaithale Inikkum’ that indeed has won him more offers.

At the moment, he is simultaneously shooting for couple of films – “Vanjikottai Valiban’ and “Aarpaattam’ while his other film “Aatanayagan’ is ready for release.

The audio launch of “Aatanayagan’ was held Wednesday morning (March 17) and is slated to hit screens in April. The film focuses on an emotional relationship between a father and son laced with commercial ingredients. Nasser enacts the role of Sakthi’s father while Malayalam actress Ramya Nambeesan plays Sakthi’s love interest. “Billa’ fame Aditya, Santhanam, Jeeva, R. Sundarajan, Meera Vasudevan and others has performed prominent roles.

Debutant Krishnaram, once an associate of K.S. Ravikumar and Vikraman makes his debut directorial with this film. K. Murali Dharan, V. Swaminathan and T.S. Rangarajan have produced the film with the banner name of Lakshmi Movie Makers.

Srikanth Deva has scored music to the lyrics of Vaali, Krishna Rama and Vivega while Vijay Milton has cranked the camera.
