AARP Sponsers Jane Pauley Return To The Today Show
March 11th, 2010 - 2:05 am ICT by Angela Kaye Mason ( 2 comments )Mar 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Jane Pauley has pretty much stayed out of the spotlight ever since she released the book “Skywriting: A Life Out of the Blue” which revealed to the world that she suffered with bipolar disorder. But now she is back!
AARP has just formed an unlikely but very beneficial partnership with NBC’s “Today Show.” They are going to bring the award winning television host, Jane Pauley back to do a monthly segment called “Your Life Calling.” The show is to be aimed at people over 50, who are re-inventing their employment, and living very well. This comes just prior to the expected tidal wave type of impact that the 77 million so called “Boomers” will have on the workplace, economy, health-care, and entertainment industry when they retire.
The AARP was a great choice for this project, since they focus on older adults, and often assist them in life issues. They will, of course, also benefit financially from the partnership.
The new series is called “Your Life Calling with Jane Pauley, and will feature people over 50 who have re-invented the way they work and live, so that they can pursue their life’s calling. “I’ve been thinking and talking about ‘reinvention’ for more than 20 years,” said Pauley, who is 59 years old. Jane Pauley will also be involved an hour long chat at AARP.org/Jane, which will be held on the same day as the broadcast. The first one was aired yesterday at noon.
