Aaranya Kaandam selected for SAIFF
September 22nd, 2010 - 10:58 pm ICT by Sampurn WireSeptember 22, 2010 (Sampurn Wire): SPB Charan has been striding with success all throughout his career. He started his career as a playback singer (son of veteran playback singer S.P. Balasubramaniam) and crooned many chartbusters and later picked a new avatar of acting in films. His insatiable passion of quality films urged him to commence a new journey of producing films.
He has already produced some of the best films under his banner of Capital Film Works. Chennai 600028 can be regarded as the best illustration as it gained him incredible laurels. Following the grand success of this film, he produced couple of newfangled flicks – Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum (Village based love story) and Naanayam (Hi-tech bank heist), which were average grossers at box office and yet fetched good reviews.
His upcoming film Aaranya Kaandam is scheduled to hit screens by October and it has been selected for the screening at South Asian International Film Festival. SAIFF is one of the largest international film festivals that premieres more number of films made in South Asian countries like India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and few other countries. The main motto of SAIFF is support the emerging filmmakers of South Asia, who lack proper support to showcase their best works across the globe.
The film festival commences on October 27 and will go on till November 2.
Aaranya Kaandam is directed by newcomer Thyagarajan Kumara Raja and Yuvan Shankar Raja has composed music.
