Dec.18, (THAINDIAN NEWS) December 17th was a treat for the viewers of the idiot box (read:TV), who were hooked to the Saturday Night Live (or simply SNL). The show went on to feature a special edition called “SNL presents: A very Gilly Christmas”. To host the show, Kristen Wiig was present in full character dressed like a school-going-girl. Her character went on to bite her lip continuously while trying to make mischief all the time. The charter, according to the fans, was a bit ’sketchy’ but fun-to-watch nevertheless. Wiig started off by reviewing the holiday-themed-episodes that featured on SNL in the past.

The episode showed not one but 35 years of the show’s worth, and was a no-miss for every SNL fan out there. Not only this, but the episode even invited over two people- as a surprise for the audience members. One of them was Alec Baldwin, who went on to feature the ‘NPR’s Delicious Dish and the Schweddy Balls’. The act was a complete hit, with the viewers rolling in gales of laughter. The second person to make his appearance on yesterday’s show was Steve Martin. Steve came in to present the ‘A Holiday wish’.

This was not all. The holiday treat continued, when Justin Timberlake was brought on as the musical guest of the night along with Andy Samberg. This episode was SNL’s holiday special that came on air after a period of almost 7 years, its last holiday-themed episode being held in the year 2002 and the viewers claimed it was one of the best episodes ever.
