A little naughty A little Nice- Amit Verma is all Spiced!
August 22nd, 2009 - 2:58 pm ICT by Sampurn WireAmit Verma is the one whose kissmat connected well on silver screen and now the actor is back to television continuing his stint as Birju in Baa Bahu Aur Baby. This time the junta will see another side of the character, which is nice with a little spice!
“You will see the changes in Birju. Earlier, he was very nice and goodie, but now he will be balanced with mixed emotions of anger, romance etc. In other words, I will be spicier in the show hence forth,” states Amit.
Elaborating on his stint with BBB, the actor adds, “It’s not a cake walk at all for me. I was portrayed as the Ram of this century in the form of Birju. It got a little difficult for the audiences also to digest the same fact.”
“Thus the creative team of the show decided to make my character more masaledar. Now I can be termed as a mixture of Ram and Shyam,” he grins.
The actor is also looking out for another stint on 70 mm screen. “There is something on the cards, but I can’t talk about it. I can just tell you there was some mistake that I did before, but now I will land into movies with proper preparations,” he converse.
When asked about what mistake he committed, Amit quickly replied, “I mixed up the acting of TV on Cinema. After watching my film I realized that TV pe sab kuch small hai, but on big screen you need to portray you emotions largely, which I lacked.”
Define in your words the world of television as compared to the world of cinema. “I think cinema is a test match, while TV can be termed as 20-20,” he concludes.
Kya jawab hai… Amit has already become spicier it seems!
