It was on the December 9, 1965 that the entire animated Peanuts group made their debut. It had instantly become a super hit with its debut. Reports claim that the Peanuts gang had acquired a viewer ship of almost 45 percent and had won brilliant reviews from some of the best magazines.

It has successfully attained its position of being a worthy holiday tradition. The gang created by the efforts of Charles Schulz, directed under Bill Melendez became so famous that it went on to achieve the prestigious Emmy and Peabody Awards. This classic Christmas special owes its popularity to the fact that it reflects the true spirit of Christmas.
