white1 Mar 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Despite her age, Betty White is showing no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Dubbed by some as “The Hardest Working Woman in Showbiz,” White has not only signed up for an appearance on May 8 on the hit show “Saturday Night Live,” she is also starring in the season finale of ABC’s “The Middle.” She is now back to working full time as she has just signed a deal for a regular spot on a sitcom for TV Land.

The show is titled “Hot in Cleveland” and casts such names as Valerie Berinelli, Jane Leeves, and Wendie Malick. Although she was, at first, only supposed to star in the show’s pilot, she is now set to perform through the show’s 10 episode season, which will begin in June. White will play the part of a feisty caretaker of the home which the other three actresses’ characters live in.

White is well known for her work in the sitcom “The Golden Girls” which aired from Sep 14, 1985, to May 9, 1992. She won a lifetime achievement award for her performances on the show at the Screen Actor’s Guild Awards in January. Other stars in this sitcom were Beatrice Author, Rue McClanahan, and Estelle Getty. All four stars received an Emmy during the show’s airing, and they all had many nominations as well. The show itself won many awards, including winning the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series… twice.
