‘60 minutes’ interviews Mini-Madoff Marc Dreier

Marc Dreier Marc Dreier would have been the biggest white-collar scammer in history, if Bernie Madoff had not been arrested.

Marc Dreierwho is also called mini-Madoff, is alleged to have masterminded a $400 million Ponzi scheme. Marc Dreier was recently interviewed on CBS’s 60 Minutes where he remarked “I thought if somebody would ever interview me on a program such as yours it would be for something good I’ve done, not something humiliating I’ve done,” clearly stating how remorseful he felt.

Marc Dreier defended himself in court. Prosecutors were pressing for life in jail. On the show, Marc Dreier said he never knew when he became a crook. He said he believed he fell in the trap of wanting to be more successful than he was. Marc Dreier said he told his friends he was going to be a billionaire, and he thinks that was when he lost his conscience.

Marc Dreier can be described as successful. He has degrees from Yale and Harvard, two of the leading Universities in the United States. He is also a successful trial lawyer.

But Dreier’s ambition turned illegal, when he used his former client’s business details to scam people of their monies.
