50 years on, Ringo Starr still gets stage fright
July 11th, 2011 - 7:14 am ICT by IANSLondon, July 11 (IANS) Former Beatles drummer Ringo Starr admits he still gets stage fright even after being in the industry for 50 years.
“I feel like running away three seconds before I’m due to hit the stage. That’s why I always run on - I’d love to coolly stroll on but I can’t. I’m all right as soon as I get the microphone in my hand,” thesun.co.uk quoted Starr as saying.
“I’ll give concerts as long as I can hold on to the sticks. You cannot tell when it’s all over,” he added.
