Nov 22, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 38th Annual American Music Awards 2010 saw celebrity shower at the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles, California. The music fraternities walked the red carpet with grandeur as they appeared on the show to take their much coveted award. The audience saw marvelous riveting performances of the American music sensations which were appreciated by them as they cheered for their favorite stars. The show stealer of the night was teenage sensation Justin Bieber who took home 4 coveted award last night.

Justin Bieber took home awards for Favorite Breakthrough Artist, Favorite Pop/Rock Male Artist, Favorite Artist of the Year, Favorite Pop/Rock Album. The singer was excited and thanked his audience for such honor. Usher, Raymond v. Raymond bagged the award for Favorite Soul/R&B Album and Black Eyed Peas won the award for Favorite Pop Rock Band/Duo/Group. “Speak Now” album’s singer Taylor Swift who performed “Back To December” in the function took home the award for Favorite Country Female Artist. “Waka Waka” singer Shakira received award for the Favorite Latin Music Artist. R&B star Rihanna received award for Favorite Soul/R&B Female Artist and “Whiskey Lullaby” singer Brad Paisley got Favorite Country Male Artist award.

Other awards of the night included Favorite Alternative Rock Music Artist (Muse), Favorite Country Band/Duo/Group (Lady Antebellum) etc. Eminem was nominated in five categories and he managed to get two awards. He received award for Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Male Artist and Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Album for his popular album “Recovery”. Though Lady Gaga shined in MTV Video Music Awards early this year, she only received one award last for Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. Overall it was an entertaining night with all the spectacular performances which kept the audience riveted to their seats.
