2012Los Angeles, California, Oct 2, (THAINDIAN NEWS) During last night’s running of the “Grey’s Anatomy” as an added bonus, viewers were given a sneak peak in to the upcoming movie called “2012.” The screen venture is a disaster flick and it has been directed by Roland Emmerich, starring an ensemble cast of talented actors like John Cusack, Amanda Peet, Danny Glover, Thandie Newton, Oliver Platt, Woody Harrelson and Chiwetel Ejiofor. “2012″ has a scheduled worldwide release date of November 13.

The movie is supposed to be based on the life ending prophecies that surround the dawn of the year 2012, which had supposedly been predicted in the Mayan calendar some many eons ago and which has been an issue of many debates as well as discussions in the recent times. With the theatrical trailer of the out everywhere to be seen and with the release date nearing, it is slowly mounting the hype that had been created by the Mayan predictions.

The movie is surrounding the epic adventure that the human race goes through when the world wakes up to the pre-warned setting of the massive global cataclysm, which is set to destroy every bit of essence of life on the earth. The movie focuses on survivors battling for their lives amidst the backdrop of the US government agency named “Institute for Human Continuity” attempting to save the human race from extinction by using ships to steer some survivors to safety.

The movie plays up the horrific details of what exactly might take place in case [just in case] the Mayans are proved right in their predictions.
