103 Jamz Radio Host Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown Dies Aged 40

djSep 20, (THAINDIAN NEWS) On Sunday, the WOWI-FM 102.9, better known as 103 Jamz announced that it has lost one of its most popular and longtime radio host Lawrence Brown. Lawrence Brown who was known to his fans as Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown died after suffering a fatal heart attack. The announcement of the death of the 40-year-old radio host, was made by the radio station on Sunday evening at around 4:45 p.m. The sudden death of Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown has left not only his family but also his colleagues and friends shocked and devastated.

Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown was known popularly as the host of Boodah Brothers Morning Radio Show. After working as a Disc Jockey (DJ) in the Hampton Roads area for some years, it was in 2004 that Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown took to air along with co-host Horace “Big B” Belcher. It took no time for the duo to become a household name for their popular morning show. Horace Belcher had once said to media sources reportedly that “Cool DJ Law” was not just another colleague but a brother. The two were like a family who even spent Christmas holiday together. On Sunday the facebook page of 103 Jamz was flooded with messages from listeners who extended their support towards the family of Cool DJ Law.

Lawrence “Cool DJ Law” Brown is the second radio host to pass away untimely from the morning radio show in recent years. Shawn “Mic Lord” Austin died a sudden death back in 2007. On Sunday, Pavar Snipe, a former worker of the radio station said to media sources that the Brown family is devastated “at this loss and appreciate all the prayers of the Hampton Roads”.
