Bangalore, Feb 13 (ANI): Wipro technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro, has inked an agreement with Japanese electronics giant, NEC Electronics Corporation to provide semiconductor design services.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, NEC Electronics President and CEO, Toshio Nakajima said the company is keen on partnering more Indian companies specialising in semiconductor design services.
“We are engaging two more companies - iWave Systems and GDA Technologies - for other services. We already have a partnership with KPIT Cummins,” he added.
Talking to media, Vasudevan of Wipro Technologies has said it boosts Wipro’s front end and back end design services.
NEC Electronics, a Japanese company supplies system on chip (SoC), micro-controller and discrete semiconductor solutions for a variety of industrial and consumer electronics.
The dedicated development centre for NEC Electronics has been set up by Wipro at its Electronics City campus in Bangalore. (ANI)
