Dec 13, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Walgreens is one of the biggest pharmaceutical stores in the nation. Recently, the store has been facing a lot of cyber vulnerability, as some unknown hacker has gnawed its paws on Walgreens e-mail list. It has also been reported that the regular customers and patrons of the store are getting more spams than what they got before as a result.

Walgreens is the second largest medical store in the nation and therefore has numerous e-mail addresses in their database. All those who are linked with the store are now fearing that the hacker might subject them to the same cyber crime. However, they need not worry as the only information the hacker recovered from the organization’s email id was the personal email addresses of the customers and their patrons. Walgreens has come to know that the hackers did not recover any other sensitive information, as these informations in the email list are kept in a different location. The email id that they hacked does not contain anything that is related to prescription records and credit card numbers, that could turn out to be risky for the customers. Therefore, the customers need not worry.

However, after the incident, people are wondering, why the store is not appointing a special group of employees who would look after the cyber database and take care of their business information and the security of the customers. The store is quite popular and relied upon by several people. Although many customers feel sorry for the mishap, they are expecting the cyber security of the organization to get more stringent. So far, they could not trace the hacker who indulged in the crime.
