New York, Mar 3 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Verizon’s outage on the 3rd of March, is causing a lot of agony to its users. Apparently the Internet and the email services have been affected. The phone services seem to be working fine. Verizon officials say that they are working to fix the problem. The exact time the outage started is not known, as it appears to be varying for different users.

The users of Verizon are up in arms against the company, as it is a common topic on many forums. “I haven’t had Internet or email access all morning (4:30 am EST when I woke up). How sad that this could happen,” a Cincinnati user wrote on the Droid forum. “How pathetic that Verizon doesn’t post something up on their site”. “Mine started going haywire last night,” an Indiana Droid fan posted this morning. Based on the complaints of the people on the forum boards, it seems that the Midwest and the South have had the outage longer than the coast.

The outage comes at a wrong time for Verizon, as right now it is neck to neck with AT&T for a piece of the US market. AT&T has had its own outage problems too, when the heavy traffic attributed to the iPhone users had crashed the data network.
