Usha Martin Education partners Pearson
December 17th, 2009 - 8:40 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Kolkata, Dec 17 (IANS) Usha Martin Education and Solutions Ltd (UMESL) has forayed into school management services, the company said in statement Thursday.
By March, UMESL plans to enable at least 15 select schools from West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar for providing school management services.
“For this, UMESL has partnered with several people in identified areas. The target is to have around 200 schools within our network in the next seven years,” the statement said.
“Pearson, the global education and media company, will partner with UMESL as the primary service provider for instructional support, including curriculum and content, assessment, teacher training and support, and enterprise and learning management systems,” it added.
UMESL is a part of the Rs.4,700-crore Usha Martin group, a conglomerate with interests in wire ropes, steel, communication software, mobile value-added services, and infrastructure development.
