US consumer prices fell 1.7 percent in November

Washington, Dec 16 (DPA) US consumer prices in November fell 1.7 per cent since October, reflecting a drop in energy and petrol prices, the US Labor Department said Tuesday.The figures, which were adjusted for seasonal changes, represented the “second record consecutive decrease,” officials said.

Prices however were still 1.1 percent higher than in November 2007.
