UAE, Vietnam discuss trade cooperation
November 28th, 2010 - 8:53 pm ICT by IANSHanoi, Nov 28 (IANS/WAM) Visiting UAE Economy Minister Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri and Vietnamese Investment and Planning Minister Vo Hong Phuc held talks to boost bilateral trade and investments, particularly in the energy and the petrochemical sectors, it was announced Sunday.
The two sides, at the meeting in Hanoi, explored ways of increasing UAE investments in Vietnam in the sectors like energy, petrochemicals, infrastructure and agriculture.
The ministers stressed the need for involving the private sector of both countries to benefit from the potential investment opportunities.
Al Mansouri expressed his country’s keenness to bolster ties with Vietnam. The Vietnamese minister praised the existing ties between the two countries, especially in the areas of trade and investment.
