UAE to host GCC financial, economic committee meet
October 20th, 2011 - 1:25 am ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Oct 19 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates will host the 91st meeting of the financial and economic committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) on Saturday.
It will be chaired by Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, deputy ruler of Dubai and UAE finance minister.
Key issues to be addressed at the meeting will include the decisions taken at the Supreme Council’s 36th session on the GCC Customs Union, GCC participation at the World Trade Organization (WTO), participating in meetings and discussions with the European Union (EU) and other countries and financial institutions and the progress of GCC development projects and initiatives.
