UAE seeks to boost foreign trade
September 19th, 2010 - 11:19 pm ICT by IANSAbu Dhabi, Sep 19 (IANS/WAM) The UAE said Sunday it will intensify efforts to market its products in Asia, Europe and South America and boost foreign investments in the country.
To boost trade and investment opportunities, UAE will participate in the China-Arab Countries Economic and Trade Forum Sep 26-30 in Ning Xia Autonomous Region, the Global Connect international Fair in October in Germany and an international trade fair Nov 9-11 in Malaysia.
The foreign trade ministry also plans to conduct promotional tours for business delegations from the UAE to Romania and Armenia in November and to Latin American countries in December.
Juma Al Kait, executive director of foreign trade department at the ministry, said the goal is based on comprehensive strategic vision of the government that is developing and boosting non-oil exports, preparing suitable global markets and increasing competitiveness, among others.
