UAE discusses trade cooperation with Syria
December 29th, 2010 - 12:31 am ICT by IANSDamascus, Dec 28 (IANS/WAM) The United Arab Emirates and Syria have vowed to strengthen their bilateral ties, especially in the fields of trade and investment. UAE Minister of Foreign Trade Sheikha Lubna Bint Khalid Al Qasimi and Syrian Prime Minister Mohamed Naji al-Otari discussed Monday proposals to develop bilateral trade and investment cooperation.
Sheikha Lubna is currently on a visit to Syria at the head of a 45-member delegation representing various industries.
She said that there exist abundant opportunities on both sides to develop relations in the best interests of both countries.
The Syrian prime minister asserted his country’s keenness to strengthen relations with the UAE in various fields, including energy and trade.
