UAE, Azerbaijan seek to boost trade ties
May 8th, 2011 - 1:04 am ICT by IANSBaku (Azerbaijan), May 7 (IANS/WAM) Visiting UAE Economy Minister Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori and his Azerbaijani counterpart Shaheen Mustaphiaaph have signed a protocol to boost trade and investment between the two countries.
Both sides agreed to further develop cooperation in various sectors with particular emphasis on trade and investment.
It also seeks to boost cooperation in the fields of energy, agriculture, finance, banking, customs, tourism, telecommunication, transport and intellectual property rights.
Al Mansoori stressed the importance of the effective economic policies adopted by Azerbaijan that focus on diversifying the economy and enhance the development of non oil sectors.
Both sides also agreed to follow up the agreed actions by exchanging progress reports every six months.
