TVS revenues grow 25 percent in third quarter
January 20th, 2010 - 7:01 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Chennai, Jan 20 (IANS) Two-wheeler major TVS Motor closed the third quarter of the current fiscal with a 25.4 percent increase in revenue over the corresponding period the previous year.
The company recorded a total revenue and net profit of Rs.1,089.45 crore and Rs.23.53 crore, respectively, for the quarter under review, in comparison to Rs.868.71 crore and a net loss of Rs.95.86 , respectively, recorded in the year-ago period.
Total sales grew 21.7 percent to 372,000 units during the period under review from 306,000 units sold in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The company said it exported 44,000 units for the quarter ended Dec 31, against 55,000 units during the comparable period in 2008-09.
