TVS Motor logs lower sales in December
January 2nd, 2012 - 7:16 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Jan 2 (IANS) Two- and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company closed last month selling 170,428 units down from 171,790 units sold in December 2010.
The company’s cumulative sales for the period April to December 2011 grew by 10 percent with sales of 1,670,040 units against 1,512,896 units recorded in the previous comparable period.
The company sold 167,905 two-wheelers last month as against 168,359 units in December 2010. While the company showed growth in scooters, sales of motorcycles came down during the period under review.
Last month, TVS Motor exported 21,158 units up from 19,002 units in December 2010.
In the three-wheeler segment, TVS Motor sold 2,523 units last month as against 3,431 units sold during the corresponding period of last year.
