TVS Motor logs 30 percent sales growth in May
June 1st, 2010 - 6:19 pm ICT by IANSChennai, June 1 (IANS) Two-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company said Tuesday it has logged 30 percent sales growth in May compared to the corresponding period in 2009.
Last month the company sold 154,667 units, up from 118,574 units sold in May 2009.
In the domestic market, TVS Motor logged 27 percent growth, selling 136,621 two-wheelers last month as against 107,439 units sold in May 2009.
The company increased its two-wheeler exports by 62 percent last month, shipping out 18,046 units.
In the three-wheeler business, TVS Motor sold 2,313 units last month, up from 707 units sold in May 2009.
The cumulative sales for the current financial year increased 29 percent with sales of 299,356 units against 231,693 units in the comparable period of the previous year.
