TVS Motor logs 18 percent sales growth in May
June 1st, 2011 - 6:16 pm ICT by IANSChennai, June 1 (IANS) Two- and three-wheeler maker TVS Motor Company logged 18 percent growth in sales in May 2011 compared to the corresponding month last year.
In a statement here Wednesday, the company said total sales last month were 185,930 units, as against 156,980 units in May 2010.
TVS Motor sold 181,891 two-wheelers last month, compared to 154,667 units sold in May 2010.
Three-wheeler sales stood at 4,039 units, compared to 2,313 units in May last year.
The company’s total exports for the month under review grew 42 percent and stood at 26,168 units as against 18,482 units in May 2010.
Cumulative sales for this fiscal’s April and May months grew by 16 percent at 353,674 units, as against 304,152 units sold during the comparable period last year.
