Tube Investments posts higher turnover, profits
January 29th, 2011 - 9:26 pm ICT by IANSChennai, Jan 29 (IANS) Backed by all-round growth, Tube Investments of India Ltd closed the third quarter of the current fiscal with a turnover of Rs.749 crore and a net profit of Rs.51.89 crore as against Rs.583 crore and Rs.20.60 crore respectively in the same period last fiscalManaging director L. Ramkumar said all the business segments of the company have registered good growth on a higher base of last year.
Volume growth, favourable product mix, new product launches, and higher productivity helped the company improve its operating profit during the quarter, he added.
