Transport officials told to appear in court Jan 4
December 21st, 2011 - 11:09 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Dec 21 (IANS) The Delhi High Court Wednesday directed two senior officials of the city’s transport department to appear before it Jan 4 next year over a plea seeking a curb on collection of allegedly illegal charges by car dealers.
The division bench of Acting Chief Justice A.K. Sikri and Justice R.S. Endlaw ordered the secretary-cum-commissioner and the deputy commissioner (operations) to appear before it.
The court Nov 30 directed the department to file its reply on the plea seeking steps taken to curb the “illegal” levying and collection of logistic charges, stocking charges, loading and unloading charges and others.
