Train tickets from mobile vans in Kolkata

Kolkata, Jan 8 (IANS) Railway tickets can now be bought from mobile vans in Kolkata.
Christened ‘Mushkil Aasaan’, the pilot project provides for positioning mobile ticketing vans near shopping malls and busy market places for the convenience of railway passengers.
“We are launching two pilot projects in Kolkata and Delhi, spending Rs.56 lakh. The van in Kolkata will be stationed at various spots. The railways will issue advertisements giving out the location and specific timings of the vans,” Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee said while launching the project here Friday.
Veteran Bengali actor Ranjit Mullick purchased the first ticket at the launch.
