Toyota’s August sales up 84 percent
September 1st, 2011 - 2:53 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Sep 1 (IANS) Japanese automobile major Toyota’s Indian subsidiary Toyota Kirloskar Motor Thursday reported an increase of 84 percent in its sales for August at 11,693 units as compared to 6,361 units in the like period last fiscal.
“The growth is primarily led by our flagship models Innova, Etios and Etios Liva,” said Toyota Kirloskar Motor deputy managing director-marketing Sandeep Singh.
According to Singh, the company sold 4,305 units of Innova, 2,824 units of Etios Liva, 2,710 units of Etios sedan, 913 units of Corolla Altis, 897 units of Fortuner, 35 units of Camry, seven units of Prado and one unit each of Land Cruiser and Prius.
He said the company was expecting good sales in the coming festive season. “We are now looking forward to the festival season.”
