Jan 29, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The decision taken by legendary Japanese Carmaker Toyota to recall around 2.3 million vehicles made by it has created a stir in the auto industry. It has also left the existing Toyota Car owners baffled. The massive recall has caused concern among the consumers as Toyota is a company that is known for the outstanding safety level of its cars. As per the reports, eight models of the company will be affected by the recall. The details can be found in the Toyota website. However, the way Toyota has issued notice has created the unrest among the Toyota car users.
Some models of Toyota Camry manufactured between 2007 and 2010 will fall under this recall. The term ‘certain models’ has also led to the misunderstanding. It might make the owners of safe cars believe that their cars are faulty as well. However, Toyota has assured that it will not result in any kind of layoff and the shutdown will not last more than a week. The company officials have said that the Toyota cars made in Japan do not come under the purview of this recall.
However, some of the Toyota customers have reported that they are not getting accurate and adequate feedback from the company on the recall issue. It has made them irate as well. Whatever may be the case, it is clear that Toyota needs to resolve this problem as fast as possible. Rival GM has already offered a lucrative exchange and incentive scheme to woo the disgruntled Toyota users. Hence, it needs to check the scenario before it turns from bad to worse.
