Toyota Kirloskar’s July sales up 99 percent
August 1st, 2011 - 6:25 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Aug 1 (IANS) Automobile maker Toyota Kirloskar Motor Monday reported a growth of 99 percent in its sales for July at 13,592 units as compared to 6,834 units in July last year.
“The customer response to Etios and Etios Liva has been very good,” said Sandeep Singh, deputy managing director, marketing, Toyota Kirloskar Motor.
Segment-wise, the company’s entry level sedan and hatchback Etios and Etios Liva sold 4,095 units and 2,551 units, respectively, in July 2011.
“The new Corolla Altis has been received well, with the vehicle registering a growth of 22 percent with 1,030 units sold in July 2011,” Singh said.
The company further reported that sales of its multi-utility vehicle (MUV) Innova were at 4,816 units in July followed by 1,060 units of sports utility vehicle (SUV) Fortuner.
