Toyota Has Grand Plans For Hybrid Models

Aug 27, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Toyota Motors- the Japanese car giant which has earned a name in the automobile industry for its innovative ads and durable cars is stressing on its environment friendly models these days. If the latest industry buzz is to be believed then Toyota will unveil a lot of models that will run on electric or alternative sources of fuel in the next few years. The models will be released both in Japan and other countries where the company has a presence. The carmaker has said that apart from its flagship hybrid model Prius it will also release hybrid variants of its popular sedans and hatchbacks. The lineup of the company will have lots of hybrid models by the year 2020. The company also plans to sell minimum 5 million hybrid cars in the coming years as it has said.
As a matter of fact, the carmaker launched the first hybrid model in the year 1997. Prius will continue to be its flagship hybrid model as it has confirmed. It is selling well in Japan after the government approved a subsidy in its favor. Toyota said that it remains committed in its aim to keep the environment pollution free by introducing fuel efficient and eco friendly car models. The carmaker also said that it will make its entire fleet even more fuel efficient.
The hybrid models of Prius and other Toyota vehicles have got great response in the Japanese market as well as overseas. The company is selling reasonable good number of hybrid models even amidst the recall incidents. The hybrid models of the car are costly but even then they remain hot selling ones.
